I am trying to connect the comcast modem with a belkin router in my apt and it doesnt seem to be working.

Question

I have finished the router set up and everything and it said that I was done. It took a while to get the internet connection thing, and i turned off the modem and when it powered up it detected internet connection. After I finished up everything, the router doesnt seem to have internet, and the internet light on the router is off. I unplugged both the modem and the router, and the internet light on the router stays on only at the beginning when i plugged it back in and then it turns off. What seems to be off? Is it the router or the modem? I have comcast broadband internet by the way if that helps

Call Comcast technical support.

If you can connect directly to the internet without your Belkin router, then go to the Beklin web site for support.
