I am trying to find a name to a song (top 40), female artist, about a love gone (she says if she had been told

This song talks about how in love she was a while ago (3 yrs?) and how if you would have told her then she would be without now she wouldnt have believed it. Its a catchy kind of song and I have only heard it twice and cant figure out who it is. It is driving me crazy!!
