I am trying to find a quality child care center MB or NMB?

I have just read a few scary reviews of several online - any experience you have possitive and negative about local centers will help me make the best choice for my 2 yr old.

I worked in an upscale expensive chain child care center. (I cannot mention the name.) I worked in the infant room, the 12-18 mos rooms, the 18-24 mos rooms, and the 2's room. I can tell you from personal experience that even in the most upscale, expensive, posh child care centers, sh*t goes on!!!!! I quit because they tried to force me to sign a waiver because a child was injured in my room AFTER I alerted the management that my room was out of ratio!!! When a tour was scheduled, they would move certain kids from room to room if they were out of ratio, injured, misbehaving, or "bad". Management constantly "forgot" to give medicines or breathing treatments. The daily forms they filled out about your childs day were sometimes filled out during the first break of the day. Diaper changes were made up somtimes if you forgot to change a diaper...or were understaffed and couldn't get to it. These are the reasons childcare staff has such a HIGH TURNOVER!!!! These thing go on in all forms of childcare. Please research the provider you use. "Drop-In" on them OFTEN!!!!!! Make a good friend with one of the workers so she may keep you informed of the goings on of the provider/center.  After you start in a center if their is a teacher/staff member that you really like and trust, find out if she'll be your private nanny. I am not sure what those letters stand for but if it is a national chain I would be careful. They usually charge a lot and parents do not always know the ratio's in the classroom when someone is not observing. I found this out because I was in a position to observe and suggest what individual needs to be met by student day care and preschool teachers. Many worked for national chains. Many would say that things change when I wasn't observing. I won't mention any more about this but I would certainly be careful. Good luck.
