I am trying to find info on my family.

my grandfather passed away almost a year ago and i have not talked to any of my family on that said for about 3 months now. and no i don't want too. i need to know of any web site that might help me. but it has to be free... i just can't ask any of my family 1 because i'm not talking to them and 2 because the last time i want to know something i was told that they did not know or that i just did not need to know anything.

please if u know of a web site tell me. and also if u may know anything about my grand father. please tell me. his name is henry simmons. he had 15 brothers and sisters. and lived in a small town all of his life.
