I am trying to find out the sentence for battery causing bodily injury?

No one was injured badly just a black eye and a cut on the ear

That would be up to the court.  No one here will be able to give you a real answer.  There are a lot of factors that go into the sentence.  Each court is different, each judge is different, each case is different.  

Anywhere from probation to 10 years depending on the circumstances of the crime!
