  1. Why should you worry about nationwide?  If you aren't guilty of anything, you shouldn't be worried.  If you did do something, be upfront with yourself and Walgreen's before they do check and find out.  It might give you  look of honesty if you did something and admit to it and tell them before they find out through a background check.  Good Luck!

  2. Most background checks are federal. If you have something on your record it is so much better to deal with it openly and honestly. Prepare a statement that explains what happened, don't justify, just explain how you used bad judgement or if Alcohol or drugs affected your judgement. The next part of your explanation will talk about what the consequences were and what you learned from it. In the last part talk about why it won't happen again. Maybe you took anger management or are in Recovery now. As an Employment Specialist I use this with my people who have criminal backgrounds, except I have them write it in a letter first. 3. y did u do somtin nation wide!?

  4. The answer to your question is yes. They do conduct criminal background checks.  I worked for Walgreens back in the late 80's when I was around 18 and a criminal background check was done, but you also answered your own question.  There are a small number of states that do not allow these types of checks.  Meaning lets say you applied for a job in New York State and you committed a felony or misdemeanor in Chicago.  Chicago may be one of those states that prohibit sharing of this information with other states.  That's how it works.  So be warned.  If you committed a crime in a state where you are applying for a job it will come up in a criminal background check these penal code laws do not apply within the state itself.

  5. You'd be wise not to lie on your application.  Whatever happened in some other state would most likely turn up on a background check.

  6. The question will give you the answer if it asks have you ever been.... or in the past 7 years have you ever been.... then it is national background check.  Also if the company is in more than one state they usually do a national check...Some companies run local, national and also credit reports and civil records as well.

  7. They're on to you homie!  Don't even waste your time!  We don't need no criminals working for us!

  8. Why would you want something like this?
