Hi Diane

I don't know how to contact you? His name is Robert Albert Edwards

born 27th October 1900 Islington London. Went missing in 1940s/50s after a family row. He was seen visiting his parents grave in the 1960's, he had a stone added. I cannot find his death in the United Kingdom, he was in the navy has a young man and I think he must have gone abroad to live. I would love to know what happened to him.

Thank you for any help.

  1. I have just done a very quick search of the BMD indice on www.ancestry,co.uk , are you aware that there are two

Robert  Albert Edwards registered in O/N/D quarter of 1900, they are both registered in Islington as well, are you sure you have the right man. Here are the index details for both males.

Using just the name I found this  entry in the death index,

England & Wales, Death Index: 1984-2005

    about Robert Albert Edwards

    Age at death (estimated): 88

    Registration district: Watford

    Inferred County: Hertfordshire

I will start a search of the death index and see what I can find for you prior to 1983, it was quite easy to find this Robert as from 1984 the BMD on ancestry was computerised, I will get back to you as soon as I find something.
