It is a remington 1100 serial #109547x, he said he bought it before it was ever advertised for sale. When he went to buy a deer slug barrel for the gun, they asked him to bring it in and told him to never get rid of the gun because it was so valuable. I am trying to find out the value for him.

  1. The Remington 1100 is just a common, gas-operated scattergun. Even the 11-48s aren't that valuable. Or the hump-backed Browning copies. Unless it was a special grade with gobs of custom engraving.

  2. Without knowing exactly what model and condition, it is simply impossible to give you a value.    An average older 1100 is not especially valuable.  Used 1100 prices have dropped as people are wanting a 3" chamber shotgun. There are exceptions and some particularly collectible models are worth in excess of $6000.

Going by your serial number, it looks like a standard 20 ga 1100 from the mid 1960s which would be worth about $300 in excellent condition.

  3. My books show that there are 25 different models of the 1100 remington. I'd need more info to give you a price.
