I have to take Biology, General Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology 1, Anatomy and Physiology 2, and Microbiology. Any suggestions on how to lay the classes out? Anyone have a layout that worked for them? I don't want to be overwhelmed, and everyone has me scared of the big bad Chemistry class.

This summer, I took Psychology, Intro to Sociology and Algebra and got A's in all classes. My GPA is currently a 4.0. In September, I will be taking Biology, Intro to Nutrition, English Comp 1, and Elements of Statistics. I am scared that this will be overwhelming. Some people say English Comp and Nutrition classes are a piece of cake. Any advice from current students or graduates?

  1. I too think it's a really good idea to ask your adviser. You are a great student, so you have to think of what your strengths are and what your weaknesses are.  I graduated from a BSN program.  Math always was difficult for me and I had to spend extra time on that - to other people it was a piece of cake.   The sciences I did extremely well in, although I had to study quite abit at everything.  Intro to nutrition, I found very easy as well as Eng. comp - although they still take alot of time.

Looking at the rest of your schedule, I'm wonder how many credit hours you'll be taking.  Getting through your pre-reqs in record time is a great idea, but your main concern should be maintaining your terrific GPA so you do get admitted to the nursing program. Don't take so much that'll you'll be overwhelmed and do poorer then you should have done - you could lower your GPA and not even get accepted.   Talk to your adviser - they'll know if the case load is too much.

    good luck!

  2. I think the best person to ask is your adviser.  Nutrition is pretty easy, but statistics is grueling, says my daughter, who has a BSN.
