The glass on one of my favorite aquariums broke the other day... it's on the side closest to the wall but i was looking for a cheap fix instead of buying a whole pane of glass... i need something that will bond glass together solid is obviously waterproof and is non-toxic for the fish... any specific ideas would be great...

on a side note i was going to use gorilla-glue but i'm not sure if after it fully cures if it is toxic...

please help... thanks

  1. You shouldn't use anything but pure silicon. Most glues are either toxic or don't allow for any movement which results in breakage. I wouldn't try repairing the tank as you run the risk of another flood really soon. If the tank is a large one, you might find a glass shop that will repair it for you. They'll probably do a much better job as they are accustomed to working with the materials.

  2. I used gorilla glue on my bubble screen in my fishtank about a month ago, and my fishies are still alive. :) I dont think Gorilla glue is toxic...but just let it dry really well!
