  1. Try kijiji.com / kijiji.ca

That's where I bought my lionhead

Lots of breeders put their rabbits on there

  2. Well, you still have about a year, so the shelters by you may not have a bunny right now (not that you would want the rabbit to sit in the shelter waiting a year for you either). Try using http://www.petfinder.com/ or http://www.rabbit.org/adoption/index.htm... to find a rabbit next year :)

I would visit a shelter with multiple bunnies before deciding on one so that you can make sure it has a personality that you enjoy and you find one that you love. Lionheads are very cute, but they do need to be brushed everyday or else they will get matted, so they are more work in that respect than short haired bunnies. You can learn more about bunny care at rabbit.org, so that you can show your mom how responsible you will be :)

  3. right now i have 4 lion heads 2 boy 2 girl and i plan on breeding them and having a couple litters around the time your supposed to get one and they can always be shipped or flown were u live.

  4. Well, there are two huge rabbit rescues in the bay area.  Neither looks like they have a Lionhead now, but both have a high rate of turnover and get new rabbits in all the time.  Plus, not all the rabbits end up on the website, some are adopted out before they ever get there.  Since you're looking a year down the road, I'd keep these both in mind when you are ready.  Contact both and let them know what you are looking for when the time gets closer.  One of them may well have a Lionhead then, or know of one in the bay area needing a home.

Add: Also check out RabbitEARS in Kensington, they do not have their bunnies posted on their website, but they do always have some available for adoption: http://www.rabbitears.org/index2.html

And North Star Rescue: http://www.northstarrescue.org/  They specialize more in rats, guinea pigs, hamsters, and the other smaller critters, but do occasionally take in rabbits.  I have a pair of rabbits adopted from them, they are a great little group.

And I almost forgot about Rabbit Haven!  http://www.therabbithaven.org/adoption_s...  Another large rescue in the South Bay.

Hope one of these can help you out!
