I am trying to get a quote for insurance on my car but what do I need to do to see all of my tickets and what

they were....I've had a ton of tickets of the years and can't remember them all. I drive slower now though, I just need to report all the old ones to the new insurance company.

  1. Try calling the DMV or what will happen is the insurance rep. will give you an estimated quote but the true price will not be known until the application for insurance is ran. Insurance quotes are automatically ran through the DMV database for any relevant losses(tickets, accidents).


  2. Anything over 18 months does not need to be reported to insurance companies.  Department of Motor Vehicles keeps records for 3 years.  You can google DMV in your state, then use the 800 # to contact them - they can pull your history and will give you the details you need.
