  1. If you want your score, go to MyFico.com.  You will get REAL, up to date FICO score, not a Fako score that so many sites will sell.  Creditors use FICO.

  2. I only pay $10 a month to get mine.  I use mycreditkeeper.com.  It gives you all the information you need, your credit score, credit history, inquiries, etc.  There are many more sites to use.  Most only cost about $10.

  3. Request your free annual credit report from equifax and after you receive your credit report they offer to provide your FICO score for $7.95. No annual sign up or anything like that. A one time charge. They will try to sell you an annual reporting but just take the one time score

You can get free credit report from any of the 3 credit reporting agencies.

  4. You can't get it for free.  You have to pay for it.  If it's any consolation, Consumer Reports says it's worth it.

  5. Apply for an equity loan on-line at one of the "we'll find the five best lenders for you"-type places and they will all call you to sell you a loan.  While you are on the phone, they will look up your credit score.

Ask how you are doing, they'll usually just tell you your score!
