  1. i think u may have asked this in the wrong area. If you did mean australian high school football you can be pretty much be any type of physique and you can play. Wouldnt know about american high school football though.

  2. personally i don't think you have anything to worry about, high school/junior footy is not like senior footy and having played through all the junior levels including high school and club footy i never seen anything or experienced any serious injuries probably because as kids you aren't strong enough to do any real damage to each other,i played at 5,9 and about 63 kg when i was about 14 or 15 and never had a problem plus when your young you seem to be made of rubber and just bounce back up, i wouldn't worry to much at this stage.

i would advise when your son gets up towards seniors that he get himself reasonably fit and even hit the weights a bit,it will help him take the bumps and stand up to the physicality of senior footy. i played at 5,11 and about 86 kg fit

  3. give him steroids, all the sissy high school kids are doing it now, funny thing is, they think it makes them more athletic, until they get on the feild and get their as-s kicked by someone with natural talent.

  4. The coaches will be happy if he is in shape.  Does he jog, swim, lift weights?  Any of those would help him when practices start.  Also, I hope he can take the coach's rants and raves.  It's just " coach speak" and doesn't mean a darn thing.  Tell him to wear his emotional armor.

  5. Tell him to start running the 100 yard dash in his free time and doing bear crawls. Also theres nothing you can really do to help him its something he needs to do on his own. These are some  of the best years of his life do NOT let him quit. I would give anything to play again but medical reasons will not allow it. Also if there is one thing coaches love its someone who goes 100% every play. Tell him to be aggresive, if hes a calm cool person he will have a very hard time playing football.

Wait is this for soccer or football.?

  6. Just let him play and have some fun doing it.  He'll get condition soon enough while he's playing.  Don't forget that's why we have "reserves" on the bench!

    Cheers
