like i said i have properly wired my SL FX2 420 amp correctly. i am hooking it up into a stock radio system so i bought a converter box to hook up my RCA cables. i took 2 speaker wires from my front speakers and cut into them and wrapped new speaker wire around them and connected them to the converter. (they are inputs) then i connected my RCA cables to the converter (output) then i connected my rca cables to my amp (input) then i cut more speaker wire and connected it to my tweeters but they're not working. though i hears a slight hissing noise and when i try to adjust my amp it does not work and play music through them.

  1. first of all, you did not say what final ohm load its running with the tweeters.

and a huge mistake will be running tweeters without an in-line filter/bass-blocker. if this is not done, the tweeters will not last long and will blow quick if the settings on the amp are not correct, sends a distorted signal, or over-powers the tweeter.

  2. you blew the tweeters man, my speakers did that and i ignored it until they popped and didn't hiss anymore. get new ones, and don't run as much power to them as i suspect you did before. tweeters are so small they need channels of their own to work with small RMS wattage.
