I am trying to install my printer but i keep getting the message that " RPC Server" is unavailable.?

Can anyone help me get round this problem, please. It is a Lexmark printer, and i am running XP windows. I am in UK. Also please, answers in simple english, no geek speak. ( lol ) .

Are you trying to connect wirelessly by the way?

Ok - disable your firewall and antivirus software TEMPORARILY and try again to install/connect to printer.

I know it won't help you today but lexmark printers are c**p - they cost a fortune for ink. You can buy a really good Canon printer for 30 quid brand new and use copycat cartridges for about a pound on ebay - I've been doing it for years. A cart for a lexmark must be 20 quid so you will soon recoup your investment...just a thought.
