I am trying to join yahoo group, I have profile, but I'm told to get one before I can join. whats up?'

I want to join some yahoo parenting groups and I keep getting this window that says first I have to create my public profile... I have done that and still get the same window. The window gives me a place to create a profile. When I put my screename in it I get a response that my screename is already taken... DUH how do I get past the idiot box??? This has happened in several groups that I have tried to join.... HELP

Be sure that you are logged in to yahoogroups before you create the profile.

Then make sure the profile is public.
