I am planning on buying a used pool table because I don't have money for an expensive one. I need someone who knows how to move a table without breaking it for cheap maybe help with disassembly, and reassembly. I don't know for sure I haven't seen the table yet. If you know anyone in Salt Lake City, Utah who knows how to do this, for around 50$ please email me at iamnotbri@hotmail.com. They do not have to be a professional! I'll take anyone with experience.

  1. You're not going to find someone to move a pool table for $50 that knows what they're doing. You can barely rent a U-Haul for $50, lol. If you do find someone, it will be some sort of "no fault" situation where if it breaks, it's your problem, not theirs. And they're sure as heck not going to set it up for you.

Disassembling and loading the table onto a truck isn't particularly difficult as long as you're relatively handy and aren't working with time constraints. You just have to be very, very careful with the slate. If it breaks, you're pretty much screwed and will have to pay good money to have it replaced.

The hard part is putting in back together correctly when you get it to your place, but if you don't mind making it a fairly long term project, you can do that yourself too. I've included a link to a step by step installation of a table. You may also want post questions on this forum, as there are several people there with experience installing tables.

Of course, the best thing to do is have the pros do it. But I'm sure you know by now that could cost around $400-600. To me it's worth it, but that's your choice.

  2. Local moving like Johnny says, or call a billiards supply pace, if they sell tables, they have the movers.

  3. Call a local moving co they dont charge that much
