I am trying to repair a scratch on my car bumper. Since it is plastic, do i still have to apply primer?

Also any tips for getting a nice even coat and getting good results? Whenever i try to do it,it turns out kinda lumpy...

  2. is it painted already?..if its just a scratch then it will be a lot easyer to do the smallest repair possable ..just fill in the scratch and paint it with a touchup pen...larger damage will need primerd with plastic primer,sanded,painted ,rubbed down with 2000 grade wet/dry paper,pannel wiped then laqured/clearcoat...

  3. If its plastic,you do not need to apply primer. Primer is only for bare metal scratches
