  1. I'm not sure what the Hawkeye designates, I know its a M77, which is a GREAT gun, as all Rugers are.  I have two M77s and love em both, get an aftermarket Timney trigger, freefloat the barrel and your'e good to go, very accurate, and I love the way the M77 stock fits me,  get one you'll like it.

  2. Yes, this is a vague question.  But the hawkeye has a slimmer stock designed by David Miller with wrap around checkering on the forend.  Also an improved trigger that isnt two stage. and the metal finishes are different.  No more shiney bluing jobs, just matte finish stainless and blued.

  3. Your question is kind of vague.  The Hawkeye has an improved walnut stock, recoil pad and trigger over M77 Mark II.  The feel of the stock from the grip to the front is more comfortable.  The trigger is a definite improvement.    I have been considering getting one in .375 Ruger myself.
