Hey I am trying to sell a 1996 Jaguar XJ6 with 100,000 miles on it and can't seem to find anyone interested. I have posted it all over the web on sites like craigslist and autotrader. I am only asking $7500 for it. Is that to much to ask for my car? Does anyone have any ideas on how i can sell it? I really need to sell the car and i really can't afford to go much lower. So if you have any idea on how to sell it then tell me. Thanks

  1. Compared to wholesale prices, your car is marked too high.

Did you get a quote from Carmax or an offer from Jaguar dealers?

  2. way high

That car runs $6000-6400 TOPS in private sales.  That is for a showroom quality one.  More realistically in the $5000 range.

Sorry, but jags just do not hold their value at all.

  3. Do you really expect to sell a car with an unreliable reputation that gets about 16 MPGs on premium fuel for that kind of price?

    I wouldn't.

Drop that price and by a lot!
