  1. Keep at it and when you get a caller find out what made them contact you.

  2. business and news

  3. I know you have done a lot of work getting those flyers out.  And, yes, it is a numbers game.  As a rule of thumb, I have learned that per 1000 flyers, you can expect to get 6 calls, and of those, you need to "close the deal".

Think of other ways to advertise as well.  One great thing to do is to get a car magnet from vistaprint.  Those are cheap and highly effective!  Another is to get business cards (from vistaprint as well) and ask to leave them where your clients would frequent.  (Like dry cleaners, grocery stores, insurance agents, nail salons, etc.)

Also, with the economy the way it is, see how you can word your advertisements so it will make them feel like they are either getting a deal, or saving them money.  Something like:

"Have me clean your home so you can focus on making money"

"You deserve to relax.  Let me do your cleaning."

    "25% off cleaning services"

(For the last one, adjust your prices so they are slightly below market trends, but still enough to make you feel like you are getting what you are worth.)

Also, what is your USP (Unique Selling Point)?  What makes YOU different from all of the other cleaners out there?

Consider posting an ad on craigslist, and find where your target market hangs out online.  (Check out www.mamasource.com)  Put your ads online, or simply post to forums in your local community.  They will get to know you, your service, and then hire you from there.

    Good luck!

  4. If you get just one response then you will have succeeded. You then provide a reputable service to that customer who will recommend your service to a friend or neighbour etc etc. The answer I think your seeking is also what can you provide that others don't?  What is your competition out there? Undercut them by all means but DO NOT sell yourself short - it will be a false economy otherwise.

You could do a deal whereby you provide so many cleans per week or whatever and get one free - all markets buy into this. Good luck.

  5. word of mouth is the best check to see if your city or town you live in has a message board. A lot of people will post on there for referrals.

  6. If that don't work out for you I have a job that I do now I get paid to read email I pick my own schedule which is excellent. And most of all it is done at home over the internet here is the link check it out http://hits4pay.com/members/index.cgi?pe...

  7. takes time try getting it in the newspaper and an online website

  8. It sounds like you're off to a great start!!  Have you thought about opening a website?  Websites are the way to go nowadays.  I work as a GM of a restaurant, and the first thing ppl ask when they call is 'Do you have a website?'  That way you can market the site and people can go on and get hooked to your business!  GOOD LUCK!
