I am trying to think of a Fashion Designer whose collection was inspired by art.?

Erte...beautiful things. He first did art and sculpting, later designed clothing.  Google   ..art  erte..    Then about the 6th choice down...   Erte Fine Art  .. lots of his work , small bio. I love his statues of women, so elegant and feminine.  Good luck!

Try looking up Bob Mackie.  His designs were very artistic costumes, and I'm sure in any info on him you find you might find out what artworks had inspired him.
