My parents are real big on the budget. They are okay with the whole boy/girl idea, but I need a reasonable location that's not to expensive. I just need tips on how to make this party a party to remember. I want people to remember this party as a cool, fun party, not as the boring lame party. If you could just help me plan this and help me with the theme, location [important] and anything on how to make this party the bomb.com!

  1. I gave my daughter a Luau Party. We started be doing the invites as "massage in a Bottle" Invites, with a little sand and little seashells in the bottom, than a hand written invite rolled up and stuck in the middle of the bottle that they could easily pull out.  Told everyone to dress accordingly.  Go to Hobby Lobby and pick up Hawaiian Leas and decorations, Do it at home(we did) Give everyone a lea when they come in (depending on how liberal your parents are) we wrote and placed a tag on the lea that read  "I got Lea'd At (your name)'s  Party!!  I made deep fried shrimp, shrimp & Pinapple Ka Bobs, BBQ Wings and sausage, Made a watermelon Boat filled with all types of fruit, Bought a (pretend) Tiki Bar from BIG LOTS  and took pictures with each guest inside of it, Played the limbo game, had 3 drawings for gifts, Than let them play there own kind of music and dance the night away.  She said it was the best 16th party she ever heard of!!  Her friends was happy as well. And they still brag to this day!!  If you have a pool, that would even be more fun!!

  2. To make things easier, try planning out a party somewhere where the activities and everything is scheduled (like a bowling alley, swimming pool, or a local fun/game center or whatever). This way no one will ever be standing around bored.

  3. A  town in  our  county  just  built  a  huge  swim /  rec  center  and  since  it  is  a  community  facility  it  is  super  cheap .

Look  for  that  then  picnic   afterwords  at  the  park  with  some  boom boxes  for  music .

    have  fun  !
