In the past my friends have had the Hawian theme, the boring pink and black, and even the dance party. I want a party that will occomidate possibly 40 people comfortably. I am on a tight budget but that doesn't mean that I'm not a lavish Girl. I am full of attitude and spunk but i am still a pretty girl. My party has to be rockin and also creative and represents ME!! Thank You for all your suggestions.

  1. I'm thinkin 50's.  James Dean, Elvis, etc.

  2. I think you should look to your future,

    have a collage graduation party,

    caps,gowns,a podium,and stadium seating.

set your theme around your future plans for collage.

have prizes rilled up to look like collage degrees,

    hand out gift certificates.

    play i.q. games !!

  3. Some ideas:

Birthstone:  Do the decorations, napkins, tablecloths, the party theme around the color of your Birthstone, which is peridot.

All About Me Or My Favorites- Which is basically all your favorite things, food, music, etc and the party is just that, all about you!

Monochromatic- pick a color or your favorite color and decorate in tones of that color. So if it's pink, you decorate and do all of your colors from light to dark pink.

Astrological Sign- This is about your sign and the colors revolving around your sign.  You're either a leo or a Virgo, so you would do your party around either Leo the Leo or the Virgo and the colors surrounding those themes.

We're kids again!-  You can do all this theme as all the kinds of parties you did when you were a kid, from pin the tail on the donkey, to musical chairs, etc.

Sweets and Treats-Candy, Ice cream bar, etc

    A Night in Tuscany

    Under the Tuscan Sun

    Masquerade Ball

    Hollywood

    Broadway

    Beach Ball

    Disney

    Asian

    Greece

    Napa Valley

    Under the Moon and Stars

    Formal Sit Down Dinner

    Cartoon Characters

    Fairy Tales

    Fairies

    Flowers and Butterflies

    Tea Party

    Alice in Wonderland

    Favorite TV Show/Movies

If you have a hobby you do that you love, revolve the party around that.

If you have a sport you love or that you do, or a fan of a sports team, revolve the party around that and make that your theme.

    Bubbles

    Winter Wonderland

    Safari/Zoo

If you have anything that's a favorite, whether it's an animal, color, whatever, you can make that a theme, it's your party so do what YOU want!  If you love teddy bears, do that as a theme!  If you love Monkeys, do monkeying around and make it monkeys!

I hope some of these ideas help and that you have a great party and a very Happy Sweet 16!!

  4. i'd highly reccomend a harajuku japan theme! incase you don't already know, harajuku is basically the fashion capital of japan and the people often wear outrageous over-the-top outfits, hair and makeup.

some things from my harajuku party that you could do at yours are....

we had japanese food including sushi that we made ourselves! http://whatscookingamerica.net/Appetizer...

besides sushi, some other great party foods would be dumplings, chicken/shrimp/other meat terriyaki, tempura, rice, bubble tea, and sashimi.

as for music, i'd recommend going to itunes and finding some great japanese or japanese sounding music. here are some great songs i found there:

    Tokyo Drift - Terriyaki Boyz

Battle Without Honor or Humanity - Tomoyasu Hotei

Butterfly (From "Dance Dance Revolution") - I Love You! Project

Dream a Dream - Captain Jack

Me So Horny - 2 Live Crew

Every Time We Touch - Cascada

and ofcourse there are many other great ones.

one thing that made my party stand out was the photoshoot that we had. my mum is a professional photographer so she set up a backdrop and lights and we all took crazy photos in our costumes. that might be hard to do with 40 people, but you never know.

when i had a harajuku party, it was ah-mazingly fun and all my friends there had a great time. if you're looking for a "rockin and also creative" party, harajuku is the way to go!

  5. Have a beach party if you can otherwise do a party focused on you, meaning your favorite colors, your favorite songs......I would just do a night at a nice hotel with some friends b/c running up and down the hall is so much fun!
