Why not have a telescope party as well ontop of it.

You can do the lighted lantarns on a patio as well.

Moon, sun and stars decor will be nice. Silver, white and royal blue.

Why don't you just have something classy and real since you will be able to drink.

You can get some silver stars and hang them around the party area, now that the 4th of July is coming up you can find stars in just about all the party stores.  Get some silver ones and hang them from the ceiling at all different heights.

Then get some clear, stringed, Christmas lights and hang them all around the party area.  Hang them on the ceiling and all around the area.  They will end up looking like twinkling stars and add such a nice festive look and atmosphere to the party!

You can also get nice deep dark blue shiny fabric and hang it from the middle of the ceiling to the corners and just all over the ceiling.  It will end up looking the like the night sky.  You can even just hang the fabric across the ceiling and make it hang loose a little and then put the lights through the fabric and it will really look like the stars are twinkling in the sky!

So, as of now, you'll have the deep blue fabric on the ceiling with the clear stringed lights and the stars hanging down at different lengths.

Then, get some deep blue tablecloths and put them on the tables and get some silver napkins.  You can also do the same for balloons.  Deep blue and silver and cluster them around the party room.  You can also get some streamers, and see how they look, but with the stars, the fabrics, and the lights, you won't really need them!

You can even get one of those white round paper lanterns, the one that doesn't have a light in it and hang it from the ceiling to act as the full moon.

For centerpieces on the table, you can do anything that has to do with the sky or stars, etc.  You can do silver stars you can do white pillar candles and have them sit on a silver platter and then either put them in a clear vase or just leave the pillar candles on the platter or put them in vases.
