  1. The most important is to have normal levels of glucose before the pregnancy(70-90% mg/dl before meal,90-120% mg/dl after meal) to prevent  genetic abnormalities of your baby(4 times often on diabetic pregnancy at the sixth week). How many years do you have diabetic(important)? You must know that pregnancy on diabetic woman is high risk BUT not impossible. You need a very good doctor to to attend you and with the right care and a pregenital test you can have your baby.

So, all you need is to be patient and think that everything is possible on our days.

(Sorry for my english- i hope you understand me)

  2. You need your blood sugars under tight control for at least 3 months before you even attempt to get pregnant.  Get a high risk OB and consult with her/him.  I've had 3 diabetic pregnancies, all successful.  Its hard work, but worth it in the end.  But if you're having diabetic shock, you're in no condition to attempt to become pregnant.
