I am unable to change Yahoo as my home page--anyone know why?

Yahoo mail has way too many ads and is very slow and lso is loading "my Yahoo page". I want to change to Google and each time I change it, Google is only added to "list" of home pages in another tab.

Make sure to check your browser's "tools" or "options" tabs. Type www.yahoo.com on the url field under "General" or "Main". Yahoo should be your main page the next time you open your browser(s).

ok here it is step by step.

1. open internet browser

2. click on tools at the top of the browser

3. click on internet options

4. make sure the general tab is selected

5. where it says home page you can type in your address that you would like to be your home page.

6. type in www.google.com

7. at the bottom click apply

8. shut down your browser

9. click on your internet it should open to google

Perhaps only have google as the home page

Wow did you see the new search feature on Yahoo where it shows intelligent completed search suggestions under the search box as you type?  Maybe take a look at search.yahoo.com and check it out before you decide what search page to change to.

go to tools at the very top, internet options, and just type in for your home page www.google.ca and hit ok and its done
