I have always believed that God is one unto Him self. Now I have heard that Christ is not his son but it his him. I am confused as to why that is. Why would God come down to earth and die for our sins when the bible says that God sent his only begotten son to us???

  1. I will answer this one of 2 ways. One w/ an example from  the Bible. One from myself. I am a daughter, sister, and wife. But my name is xyz.I am only ONE person. Its the same w/Jesus.He is/was the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. Father- God in parental relationship to all mankind.  Son- He was the physical son of the virgin Mary and 100% human.Yet, he was 100 % divine. He is also the Holy Ghost. God in activity as Spirit.Feel free to e-mail for further info.

  2. h2o can be steam, ice or water. Now that is a natural thing...to understand supernatural things you need to study the Word .

  3. They are one in that they have the same desires or purpose If you read on from the scripture that Jesus says the father and I are one he goes on to say to his deciples as you and I are one he is not part of a trinity he is as you said gods son

  4. They don't, except in agreement.

No more than you and your father become one.

  5. Jesus the Christ is the Son of God, they always have been one. They are one because they are in total agreement with each other so they are as one...

  6. Gods only begotten son has to be God if he came from God.  Jesus Christ is God.  He was sinless and therefore perfect.  The only being who fits this description must be God.  God is only one God but exists in 3 persons.  Jesus is Gods son but his son is God as well because if he is the son of God he must be God as well.

One of the persons of God came to Earth to save mankind because only God could make a perfect sacrifice for the atonement of all sin.  No ormal human could take on such a task.  Jesus existed before anything was created.  John 1:1 In thre beginning was the Word (Jesus) and the word was with God and the word WAS God.  Here it states Jesus is God.

  7. Your question include the term, 'become'.

Contemplate, please, that they 'always were'.

  8. This is a bit difficult to explain, See, yes I know it can be confusing, He did send his son down on earth for us but, there are actually three, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are all one. I know thats hard to comprehend but think about it this way, the Father is God, the son is Jesus, and the holy spirit is who lives within us after we accept him. But because God is all Powerful and Almighty, of course Jesus has the same blood as God. I hope that kind of helps a bit. I know its confusing.

Another good example, Ok, look at an egg. An egg has three parts. The yolk, the white, and the shell, they are all different parts but they are all considered as being in that one egg right?  just like the Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

  9. God the FATHER and Jesus Christ, his only begotten SON are two distinct personages.

They become ONE as they have the same purpose, to bring us to eternal life and exaltation.

The Bible teaches us repeatedly about become ONE, but it means "one in purpose."

For example, we are taught to become married and become "one flesh." (That does not mean for us to fuse together into one person).   Genesis 2:24, and

    Matthew 19:5-6

Christ teaches us to become one with him and the father.  Again, we do not fuse into a single entity, but we become one in mind, goals, and purpose.

The trinity doctrine that God and Christ are the same persons is NOT Bible doctrine.

  10. Good question. From the New Testament we know there is a "Father", a "Son", and a "Holy Spirit". Other names for the Son include Son of Man, Son of God, Son of David, and Christ. The Father appeared as a cloud at the transfiguration, and the Holy Spirit or Spirit of God appeared as either a dove or, although invisible, by the presence of wind (e.g. Book of Acts).

From the Old Testament we know there are names like God, LORD, Lord, Sovereign LORD. There are cases where God appears as a man, such as in Genesis chapter 18; and from chapter 1 of Genesis we can see there is a Spirit of God, and from Exodus 19 we see that God can appear as a cloud.

From Exodus 14 we see God parting the sea with a strong wind and in Genesis 1 the Spirit of God moving across the waters.

So we see that in the Old Testament God had two physical forms he appeared as: Cloud and Man; and, although invisible, there is a dynamic form of God, the indicator of his presence being wind. Again, from the New Testament, we see the very similar things.

We know that Jesus told us to love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. So we can assume that Jesus does the same, i.e. that he loves the Father and the Holy Spirit with an intense fervor, and we can assume they do likewise towards him.

So while the exact nature of God is, to us at this time, a mystery, we can see that these 3 forms of the God, which are known as the Godhead, who are united by love.

So God, the Father, sent God, the human form, to earth, and with the help of God, the Holy Spirit, was able to live a life free from sin and do miraculous deeds. Then God, the human form, died on a cross to so we, who aren't God, can get into Heaven.

  11. its not the same person god and christ is two diffrent people who do u think he prays to be for he was hung on the cross its his heavenly father

  12. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

God spoke of Himself as "Let us..."

Jesus is the Living Word of God.

    Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  13. read the bible everythings in there

  14. 3 entities that encompass one God.

all are essential for God to exist.

The sacrifice to die had to be pure.

Only God is pure enough to die for our Sins.

A angel could not do it because they could Sin.

Only God born and entered into human flesh could die for mankind.

The person to die for mankind had to be tempted in every way that man is tempted but yet not break God's Law. Another man could not do it. He could not over come the lust of his flesh. A angel could not do it for they sin to.

So Jesus came and indwelt a human as it formed in its mothers womb.

Normally God would create a soul to indwell the baby forming. But Jesus became the essence that indwelt the baby inside Mary.

Jesus is called the Son of God to establish that he is of the bloodline of God. That means the same essence that God the father is, Jesus is. Jesus has always existed as The Father has.

Jesus is the creator. That's why in Genesis when God says let us make man in our Image, God is The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit.

  15. Okay, I wondered that same question. This is how this trinity thing works. God is one; the reason being is because he don't need any help. God saw that we needed redemption. The only way to get us redeemed was if a man who would not sin come down and die for all those who did.

God decided he would come down here in the flesh. He called whom he was in the flesh his son. Just as u could be Lisa but, at work you  could be the doctor but, ur the same person. It's only that ur at work now and doing another job

In that concept God is also the holyghost. The holyghost gives off another job so, he had to call that part of him something else as well.

In other words God is in three different forms. The God in heaven whom he is identified as God. The God manifested in the flesh whom he is identified as Jesus; and The God that is our comforter and guide whom he is identified as the holyghost.

They're the same God but, in different forms; because of that he gave them different names.

    Hope I didn't confuse u more!-lol

  16. Apparently God isn't so all-powerful to forgive us by himself, so he had to sacrifice another version of himself to himself.

  17. Jesus said, "I and the father are one."

Jesus has always been God, and he always will be. It's the notion of trinity; all three- father, spirit, son are God, all together, all at the same time. God being one refers to his unity.

  18. That is the good thing about religion: if you are confused about something, then you can just use your imagination and make something up. Praise Jesus.

  19. And don't forget that the Holy Spirit is ALSO God.  Three Gods for the price of one!  See, you Christians are really polytheists after all!

  20. You are right... don't worry, the trinity is false.

  21. yeah, you're not supposed to understand it, it's beyond human comprehension
