I am using Wella color, and it says 1:2 what does that mean?

How much developer do I use? I am doing my hair right now... so any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  1. Hi!  That means 1 to 2 mixing ratio.  


  2. It means 1 part color and 2 parts developer.  Example- 1 oz. color to 2 oz. peroxide.

  3. i've never used the product before. But i have alot of experience with mixing chemicals (i'm a chemist by trade).

    1:2 is a ratio. i'm assuming you have a 2 part solution. For every 1 part of chemical A, there will be 2 parts of chemical B.

    So if you use 1 oz of chemical A, you will need 2 oz of chemical B. Thus the ratio 1:2


  4. It's a 1 to 2 ratio....It's one ounce of color to 2 ounce to developer.
