Two answers to my question about 'god' returning:

''Today, God appears hidden but a day will come when he will appear in glory in the person of the glorified Jesus.''

''What are you talking about? Appear? What? What's the biblical context you pull this from?''

Both from christians...so he will appear according to the bible, but he won't because there's no biblical context......so which one is it.

  1. What is not to get? God is a big fake guy and we are a bunch of rebellious beings who are very confused as to what to believe and are now attacking each other on the internet in a vain attempt to convert others to our beliefs. Good fun!

  2. GOD IS OUR MASTER AND WE ARE HIS b*****s! HAIL THE OVERLORD!

  3. It is called Revelation. Last book of the Bible. You should look into it.

  4. Don´t be confused about any of it

Go from the basics - no sky god ever existed and so is not christ.

Dead people, in *case he did existed* do not wake up after almost 2 000 years.

My grand mother did not and so did no one else..

Do you have any idea, what happens to a body in grave after 2000 years..it almost disappears-but the bones

  5. So is everyone else, including those that claim to believe in god.

  6. God is a synonym of the word nothing so if you say : " I believe in God " , You can translate that as " I believe in nothing

    Have a nice day!

  7. 1 John 3:2

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

  8. The Holy Bible has many authors and editors. The contradictions arise from the works of so many hands. A story written by human hands is never truly objective. It is as much written about the person's beliefs and feelings about the observed as it is about the observed itself. For example, pick up three different newspapers and listen to three different radio hosts talking about the same event and you'll have six different versions.

Tack on to that, many of the stories were passed on through oral tradition before even being written down. Add to that the editorializing done by the Catholic church. Add to that the imperfect translations from Aramaic to Greek to English, done by poets at the latter no less, and you have our Holy Bible.

But in the end it's the message of love, forgiveness, and faith that is supposed to come through. It was the same with any religion of ancient times. Stories and plays enacted to show some moral or virtue that should be adhered to or some exaggerated, terrible fate would befall the transgressor. Keeps people in line, shows em right from wrong.

The fact that there's corruption and horror in Christianity's past just means that it had people in it, I'll bet you can't name a formal group of people anywhere that has no corruption or evil deed done in it's past. Would you even know they were evil deeds if someone out there didn't try to tell you?

  9. See Hebrews 9:28 for starters.

  10. God WILL surely come back ascending from heaven. Every eye shall see His second return. no one knows when except for the Father. but as for now, it is NOT possible to see God himself and/or His face. He shall reveal His image to no one until He comes back. and so we should not believe to anyone nowadays who says that they have seen God...because as i have mentioned, on His second coming, every eye shall see Him.

  11. here is what I found out from going back to the source, My Bible.

There are several passages which speak of God going before us, in some instances, literally clearing a way, or an entire area for his children.  One instance is Deuteronomy 31; verse 8.  These are to help us see that God is alive and helps in a tangible sense.

As to Jesus coming again...I believe you will find much information in John.  In Chapter 14,  John relates the words of Jesus as he tells the disciples that he is going to return to his heavenly father and tries to reassure their fears for their own future.  In chapter 14; verse 18 - 20.  the Bible says, " I will not leave you desolate; I will come to you.  Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me; because I live, you will live also.  In that day you will know that I am in my Father and You in me and I in you."

Again, in John 14, verse 1 if you read through, it says, " and when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am, you will be also.  There are other places in the Bible that speak about the 2nd coming.

Now, from my own heart, These things were said by a guy who is about to die in a nasty way...  He is not messing around, he is tired, he is sad, and he is trying to impart his wisdom on a bunch of guys who still don't get it...

He is telling us that we are loved, we are okay, and if we ask him for  directions he'll help us get home...

    hope this helps.
