I am very good at motocross, but how do I get signed up to race?

I've been told I am very good and I am pretty young I'm only 9 years old but I have been riding a small 90 for a few years now and I really want to start racing when summer comes.

Many kids start racing at 5 or 6 so you are definitely not too young. It is pretty simple, you just go to one of your local tracks and sign up. If it is an AMA track you will need to join, no big deal. If you aren't sure where your local tracks are just ask someone at your bike shop. I would probably go to at least one race as a spectator and maybe ride one or more open practice days if they have them. When you go the first time to watch ask for some information such as what classes they run, race schedule and what time sign in and riders meeting are held. They will have flyer's with most of this info and pretty much all tracks have a website with even more info. Good luck and enjoy.

9 years old huh!!!!

we personally I would wait till you had a little more time and experience on the bike before racing.

but if you really want to start racing, ask your parents to take you to a track on a race day and enter the beginner class.

The reason you should enter the beginner class is because it will tell yu just how good or bad you really are. plus if you are better than the rest of the field, its easy to move up classes the next race day.....

First off you need to sign up with the American Motorcyclist Association, they are the sanctioning body of all racing. Then and only then can you sign up, with your parent's permission to race.

first you need to get a racin bike my favorite is the YZ 65 or a KX 65 but then you need to got to the track and sign up your also required to have a helmet, gloves, chest protector, neck brace, goggles, and knee pads
