  1. Yes, I live in Logan, Utah which is a college town. Both bikes and electric bikes are very popular with both students and faculty. There are twice as many bikes and electric bikes on campus then cars. In fact the campus had to get a grant to put in more bike racks.

  2. I don't think I've ever seen an electric bicycle. I've been in Minnesota for 15 years. never seen one

  3. If I wasn't looking out for them, I would notice them on a weekly basis. If I was looking for them, it would be a daily occurrence.

My electric provider offers cash rebates if you buy new electric bikes from local dealerships. I see about 5 scooters a day easy.

Conventional bikes outnumber electric bikes 20:1 here.

  4. I am in Springfield, Mo.  I've seen one electric bike here.  Lots of regular bikes though.  However, as in most American cities, cars are the most common transportation.  With gas so high, lots of folks are also riding 50 cc scooters.

  5. No electric bikes in my small town in south central Illinois.  I wouldn't even ride my regular bike on the main streets because of the cars.  However, our side streets are fine for bikes.  Everyone around here is in the habit of driving cars or trucks.  People walk for exercise.

  6. I have seen one on TV once but never in real life and I have lived in California, Colorado and Kentucky in the US.  California very few people road bikes for commuting, in Colorado bikes were a large part of the commute for the college, and in Kentucky it is too hot in the summer and most of the people are too lazy to think about a bike.

  7. Great for the Inland Northwest area.  We have bike trails that go from Spokane to Sandpoint.  Everybody has a bike.  I want a bike that I can peddle and then convert to electric when I get tired.  People not as physically fit would want one out here without a doubt since it is hard to ride for miles on the trails and up hills without feeling like your going to have a heart attack.

  8. I live in the metro Atlanta and this city is pretty much a car-dominated city. The way it is built(too sprawled out) without a car one would pretty much have a hard time getting around. I personally hate it. This means that the electric bicycle is not popular at best and very dangerous to use on the highways and very few places to use it safely.

  9. I know someone who rides a very expensive bicycle for work. He goes and picks up druck people and then folds up his electric bike to put in the back seat.

  10. I live in Las Vegas Nevada. I've seen many electric bikes. Ppl out here actually prefer other methods of transportation. Driving is very difficult here. Lots of congestion! If your like me then a bike is best! I have driving anxiety! :)

  11. The first time I talked to a person who is in the business of motorized bikes was at Ambleside, West Vancouver in 1994.  About one hour ago I was chatting at work and our neighbour drove by on a motorized bike.

    It's becoming more visible.
