I am very self conscious and need help?

right now I weigh 118 and am 5"4 I am a girl who is constantly self conscious about her body.. Sometimes all I can think about is loosing weight .. I dont want to be skin and bones but right now I am very uncomfortable with myself .. I'd like to loose 10 lbs.. Any diets / exercise that can truely help.. I'm tired of failing and feeling horrible about myself

  1. you shouldn't be self conscious because you are at a perfect weight. if you are really that self conscious just eat healthy and exercise 30 minutees a day. your fine!


  2. Your ideal weight would be 120 lbs so above 140 lbs could be regarded as overweight and below 100 lbs could be regarded as underweight.  Your weight is excellent.

    Perhaps you need a bit of toning and swimming is ideal for both toning and slimming.  The more laps every day the better.

  3. Stop watching television for a while. If you're 12-13, you need to focus on eating healthy, not losing weight.  Talk to your doctor and take care of your health.  Also, self-consciousness is something that is only partially a product of how you (think) you look.  Pick up and read some books about self-esteem and body image.  Conquering self consciousness, esteem, has everything to do with deciding to love yourself, while at the same time, getting busy loving others.

  4. how about you stop giving a f$% about the way you look and start living life the way you should..........your weight is more than perfectly fine for your height.

    if you're too young and start dieting too much you'll mest up your puberty and you'll be just one mor eof those stupid post-teenager girls who regret being stupid and dieting so much bc their b***s didn't grow at all.

    here's the deal...if you diet and lose weight you'll lose breastr and then you'll start complaining about that too...it's a social trend people can't see....no matter what you do you will always find yourself disliking something about your body...so just start seeing yourself as perfectly fine and normal...and stop giving a s^% about how you  look.

    weight doesn't dictate how you look because muscle, fat and lean mass have different density. so you can be the same weight but depending what that weight is made out of you will look different.

    the reason why you miserably fail all the freaking time is bc you're probably just being another one of those ppl who think a calorie-cutting-diet is the way to lose weight.....which is dead wrong and one of the most stupid ideas ever.

    I can recommend 'lose the fat feed the muscles" which is one of the bible's of bodybuilding.

    best you can do is start liking your body...you can post a picture for everyone to tell you that you look pretty if that gives you the psychological affirmation you so desire to make you feel pretty.
