I am visiting Barbados in June, does anyone have any tips or suggestions which will make my holiday a good one

I am going on holiday to Barbados for 2 weeks in June and have never been before. Do you have any suggestions on places I should visit? Restaurants? Bars? Beaches?

Coconut Court is a nice hotel to stay in when you go to Barbados and it is right in front of a lovely beach.  You should also go to into St. Michael parish and go into Bridgetown which is the capital of Barbados.  They have nice shops and what not.  You can also go into Oistins (they usually have a fish festival but I don't know what time of the year they have this.)  You should drive around the island and go see the historical sites.  St. Lucy is mostly country but it's beautiful.  Bathsheba is another place to go and see.  Hastings is an excellent spot for tourists and visitors.  They have lovely restaurants with very tasty and sweet food and night life (clubs and stores).  The beaches and hills are so beautiful there.  Enjoy I wish I could go with you because I have family there.

I have been to Barbados and I can help you.

Nightlife there is great - Go to St. Lawrence Gap, it has not only hotels but clubs such as Reggae Lounge, The Ship Inn to name a few and bars/restaurants. Don't forget, there is Internet cafe/convience store stuff like that. :)

Oh, yes, along Bay Street as well. If you want more partying to add to your list, do check out Harbour Lights, Club Xtreme and/or The Boatyard.

I highly recommend The Coach House - The food is soo delicious but it may be expensive.

As for beaches, I recommend Accra known as Rockley, Enterprise/Miami, Browne's (sp?) Beach as these are popular.

If you want water activities, there are surfing,scuba diving and so on.

You'll love your stay, just remember not to bring your valuables to the beach. If you want to bring your camera, make sure you have an eye on it.
