I am visiting Costa Rica in two weeks.?

Question

I fly into Liberia and staying in Guancaste. My friend flies into San Jose and staying also in Guancaste. How far are both of us from Guancaste and should we catch a cab or a bus to our destination

you are incredibly close to most beaches in guanacaste.  Your friend will need to take a bus.  I would suggest that you take a bus or shuttle depending on where you are staying.  Enjoy your trip i was just there its beautiful.

You are flying to the right airport, Liberia is in Guanacaste and many of the nearby beaches are accessible via a taxi ride.

Your friend on the other hand, has about a 4hr ride from the SJO airport in the Central valley to Guanacaste. If it were me I would try to change my ticket to Liberia (LIR) rather than spend a large portion of the day in ground transport.

from san jose to liberia are about 4.5hrs by bus and is a fare of $5-6.oo, and a cab can charge you like $100 and it would take like 4hrs. you can choose
