  3. Hi Rahul,

Many budget hotels on kasauli. Best is Ros Comons run by HPTDC. Another option is Holiday Home which is meant for armed forces.

Kasauli being a small place, nothing much to see there, accept Monkey Point and Upper/Lower Mall roads.

    Enjoy your stay there...

  4. Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh is an offbeat tourist spot, comparatively very calm, quiet, non-commercial and good for peaceful stay in nature's lap. This being a cantonment area, has certain restrictions on movements as well.

Hotels are a few in the area and are scattered. However, close to main civilian parking zone, you may find some places of stay/hotels in about 200 meters radius. Regarding budget aspect, if the tourists are more in numbers at any point of time, their tariff go determined by demand and supply. Even though some hotels do have budget/economic published tariff to fulfil their conditions of Licence from the Government to run the hotel, these rooms always remain so called occupied?! For economic deals in this point of time, you try your luck at Puri Hotel at the Upper Mall/Ridge and there is one at the end of the Lower Bazaar, close to BSNL Tower (Sorry I am forgetting its name!)

IF a taxi from Kalka Rly Station does not become feasible, you could walk down (about 400-500 meters) to the Main National Highway Bus/Taxi Stand, you can get plenty there. The cost for full taxi should be within INR 600/=.

Kasauli is good for peaceful stay and trekking in nature. Within Kasauli, you can visit Monkey Point, Sunset Point, Lower Bazaar and plenty of mountainous terrain for trekking at Upper/Lower Mall-Ridge. However, nearby areas can be visited by taxi/buses on a day trip to Solan and Chail, Solan and Shimla, Pinjor Garden and Chandigarh etc.

  5. Some good hotels listed here. You can book rooms online too.
