I have booked to spend 3 nights here. I am travelling on the Eurostar and will use the metro to get to the hotel. I have been told it is near to the metro station.

Does anyone know if this is a good hotel, good area or if its semi central to the tourist sites?

I am keen to visit ChinaTown which is i know is on 13th arrondissement - Porte d'Ivry. Is this this far from the hotel??

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks!

  1. Well, you are going to be outside of central paris, but since you are going to be on Line 4, you can just head over to Chatelet and thats a popular metro stop that has a lot to see and easy access to your hotel from Gare du Nord... so you wont have to change lines. Chatelet isnt too far from the Louvre, but it is a good distance from the Eiffel Tower...  for three days, its not too bad.  Not central but not completely out of the city.  Enjoy your stay!

Port Ivry is actually on line 7, near the end of the line... its a good distance from your station though. You will have to change lines twice if you want to go there.  Get off at rochereau, and head towards nation, get off at place d'italie, get on line 7 towards marie d'ivry.

  2. yes, its quite a nice hotel and i bet you, you'll enjoy it.
