  1. I love Puerto Rico. I have been there a few times and have never encountered the situation you describe. Puerto Rico is a beautiful and friendly place. Don't let things you have heard discourage you from enjoying yourself and seeing what San Juan has to offer. Also, yes the men there are absolutely gorgeous. They are a little more reserved than in other parts of the Caribbean, but they still know how to approach a woman they find attractive.

  2. That was just a secluded event...made heaadlines by the news..You won't see many stray dogs but if you stay within the cities and the Tourist areas  You'll love.

People and Nice and friendly and they will try their best to help you.

    enjoy

  3. The media makes Puerto Rico sound like a horrible place. Yes there was an incident where dogs were killed & thrown off a bridge, but believe me puerto ricans were very angered by this too. Its not a bad place. Its a lovely place. You will see stray animals because there are not many animal shelters, but you will most likely not see any dead animals. Micheal Vick was in the media about his dog fighting ring & killing dogs. In PR we saw this news, but we dont believe that all Americans fight dogs too. It was a bad incident & Americans dont agree with it either. Dont worry PR is a beautiful place & yes the men are s**y  :)

If you like animals check out El Yunque rain forest & see our beloved Coqui frogs & our endangered puertorican parrot.
