  1. Try to get the SwissPass, the Swiss railroad pass.  Much of the Alpine railroads are not covered by Eurail.  It is a great way to explore the mountains, if that is what you want to do.  Also check out the Switzerland section on www.ricksteves.com for great suggestions. Gimmewald is great.  Have fun.

  2. Dont forget to visit mount titlis, and have a nice honey moon

  3. Yes you can go to Interlaken and eat at my friend Jeannette and renes, restraunt. it is.

best food and good prices. Go to Wangen,Grindlewald. For a room go to.the funny farm,  In Interlaken, pics and prices on the web site.

Http://www.funny-farm.ch you will have a very good time and the prices can not be beat.

Look at my pic on the Wall of the Anker and say hello to all from Uncle Paul.

  4. Have a lot of money.  Switzerland is one of Europes most expensive places to visit.  However, it is worth every Euro you will spend.  Go to Zermatt and Interlocken.

  5. Most of the hotel room beds are actually two single or twin sized beds stuck near each other. I don't know why this is so, and can't really offer a tip except to maybe ask the hotel for a room with really one bed. (I did go to one hotel in Andermatt that had both).

Swim in the lakes and take the Glacier Express and/or the Golden Pass Panoramic trains. Someone suggested the SwissPass and I agree--get first class--it also covers boats and city buses.

Or did you mean do you need to tip in Switzerland? No, not really, at most round up to the nearest five franks. (We're still on the frank, although a lot of places will take Euros and a fair number will take USD. Oh, be aware, if you ask for 200 franks from the bank machine you'll likely get a 200 frank note! Don't worry, even the ice cream vendors will accept it, no problem.)

  6. take a jersey!!!

  7. Its up to your imagination. ;-)

You shoudn't ask tips for this.

  8. yes its very cold.....

  9. OK, so it's your honeymoon, but please don't spend all your time in bed. It's a beautiful country and just about all of it is worth a visit. I don't know when you intend coming here, but in the Cantons of Valais and Tessin the weather is generally good (give or take a dull/rainy day). The country is expensive, clean, respectful of the environment, has a very good public transport service and most people are quite patriotic. Tourism is an important economic factor here so I'm sure that whatever you plan to do or visit, you'll be enchanted.

Have a lovely honeymoon and good luck!
