I plan on dedicating alot of time to the red cross. Would I be able to get hired after some time. I wouldn't mind working for this organization.

  1. Well, it depends on what openings they have at that time-if you are talking about your local branch.  However, one of the key qualities nonprofits look for in hiring is a passion for thier mission.  What better way to illustrate that then to volunteer for them.

If you start volunteering for the organization and work well with the staff you will certainly have an edge on any other applicants should an opprotunity become available!  Go for it!  And congrats on helping your community.

  2. They hire people and hiring someone they've seen in action makes the most sense. Go for it.

  3. Hi,

It all depends what qualifications you have. If I were you, I would look through their jobs and see where you're interests lie. Then start working on getting the attributes they want.

As an example, the International Red Cross may have a paid position with Disaster Response, but they may want you to have 5+ years experience in the field.

  4. I think its hard working for everyone, you will be satisfied with the jobs.

They also need your nice and peculiar character as much.

You can do it. Go for it !!.
