I am wandering why the British people are in love with Mc Donald's food?

It is fatty, unhealthily...and it doesn't taste very nice...so why?

Not all British people are in love with McDonalds, just the ones who think they can be little Americans by buying into the whole fast food ethos.  The sooner they all kill themselves through their unhealthy lifestyle fixation, the better.  Have a nice day!

I don't think they are - but they make excellent public toilets !  Any time I'm caught short in a major city, I stroll in, use the facilities, and stroll out.

Apprently it contains hydrogenated vegetable oil which is addictive.  I don't particulary like it but if i have a quarter pounder i always want another straight after. Keeping well away.

You're not wandering, you're wondering - and so am I. I think it's because of the laziness of the unmarried mothers who just can't be bothered to learn how to cook real food that makes MacD's seem strangely appealing although personally I wouldn't give it houseroom let alone eat it in-store ! ! !

Because they taste good but i like KFC and anyway i do not understand why USA people like loads of big meals like the pancake's they have come on it is a bit much and if all the country in the world was the same what was the point of people going abroad

i'm english and don't do fastfood stuff like mcdonalds cos i can cook much nicer stuff for myself. people say "it's cheap" but to be honest, you get exactly what you pay for... not a lot of anything good for you. i suppose people eat it out of convenience, however, i think i'd much rather get a small serving of pasta from somewhere i can trust is decent and worth the expense. other than that i pretty much live off a mediteranean diet... pasta, fish and fresh vegetables, etc... tastes muuuuch better and will make me live much longer =]

Every country which has McDonalds has people who eat there often....otherwise it would never survive.  So I don't see what the difference is with the UK??

Because many people regardless of what country is their origin or which country they live in are lured to eat food based on it's low price, convenience and mediocre taste. Corporations like McDonalds count on these ignorant people They are uneducated about how it's produced, how bad it actually is for you, or the political wranglings involved with the corporation that wants us to eat this trash they call food.

I'm American and live in America and haven't set foot in a McDonald's for 9 years now. I used to eat that stuff they call food, until I got educated on the subject of food production and distribution.

from what i can gather the americans love there mc donalds more than us british.there is a lot more obese people in america because of the fast food industry than there is in the uk. :-)

I'm british, and have spent most of my 27 years in the UK. I have never set foot in a McDonald's (or KFC ,Burger King, Pizza Hut, Pizza Express, or the others). It looks vile. I also think there is a strong moral argument for not eating McDonald's. They have helped fund many political movements I don't agree with. They make food that is filled with additives, salt and hydrogenated fats - gross.

I've eaten in McDonalds once in my life. That was in 1989. I found the burger bland and the fries far too salty to eat. I wouldn't say that I was in love with it.

I've only ever been to McDonalds once..........what a thoroughly unpleasant experience.  Queues, kids all over the place. The food was disgusting.  Yet another American influence that has spoilt good old Britain

I wouldnt say I love it, its just convenient sometimes, dont go there very often.
