I am a mother of a 7 year old son and unfortunately I had to have a hysterectomy last year and would love to have at least one more child. I have looked into adoption agencies and can't afford to go that way. Now I am just hoping to find someone who is interested in giving a child up for adoption so it can have a good stable home with lots of love. If anyone knows someone or has ideas it would be very appreciated.

  1. Go through all the questions under adoption there are several that want to give up a baby.  You could also look in to foster/adopt.  It is very rewarding and not near as costly!  There are a ton of kids out there that need a home!

  2. Um..People arent going to hand there babies over to someone on the internet.  They feel much safer going to through an adoption agency and giving their baby up to someone who can afford them.

  3. Call your foster care/adoption unit of child protective services in your state!  Consider foster care if you deeply love children and want to care for a child.  Volunteer at local children's hospitals or agencies.  Make a real difference in the life of a child!  That doesn't take adoption.

  4. Adoption can be expensive, but many of the things you would pay for through an agency are also required doing a private adoption, such as criminal background checks, home study, court fees, etc.  While private adoption could be less expensive, it isn't always.

I agree with the others who have answered that foster care is a good option for you.  Typically the state will help you with the fees and as one person previously said, you can also specify an older child if you wanted a sibling closer to your 7 yr old's age.

Good luck to you.  Adoption is a beautiful thing!

  5. Go to Family Independence Agency and have your foster/adoption study done through them.  Many times they will waive the fees because you are looking to adopt a child out of state care.  They will even give a small stipend to help raise the child, while it will not cover everything, it will help.

  6. alright, well i have been thinking about getting an abortion but now i cant due to being past 14 weeks. so my next option is to give it up for adoption. i am 18 years of age and i already have one little girl, needless to say i really don't need anymore. so if you would like to e-mail me maybe we can talk some more privately. sgj8152932@yahoo.com

  7. i want to know to I can offer a beautiful stable home with love

we cant have child ren and it breaks my heart and my husbands so if you find out please please tell me to

  8. Try becoming a foster-to-adopt parent you take in kids whose parents are usually fixing to lose their rights and the kids will become available for adoption

You acutally get to take the child into your home first before you decide

You get paid while taking children in

You get to pick the s*x and when adopting through an agency you usually don't

And most of all its free! Completly free! My mom adopted 3 kids by doing this. If you take in 2 or more kids in a family like brother and sister or 2 sisters et you still get paid for them until they are 18

If you take in a teenager you still get paid until they are 18

However yo may choose to take in a newborn which is completly fine

Call your local department of childrens warefare to find out on how to get set up doing this

    Good Luck!

  9. Even if you do find a pregnant woman who wants to place your child with you, you will need to arrange a legal adoption.  This involves the participation of a lawyer, a social worker, an agency, and/or a facilitator, and eventually a judge to finalize.  All of this will cost money.  However, the IRS has an adoption tax credit, and many of your costs will come back to you as tax credit AFTER the adoption is finalized.

If you look for a child already available for adoption, usually older or special-needs, usually through a public agency, the costs will be much lower.

  10. People have the wrong idea of adoption. Foster care adoption is the only "cheap" way to adopt. Even when you personally find a mom willing to let you adopt, one must still get a lawyer and go thru homestudies and all that which are all quite expernsive.

  11. Well, if you go the foster/adopt route, your son could have a sibling or siblings his own age. try this site for info.. adoptuskids.com you'll find many kids of all ages, colors, shapes, sizes, etc. There is also a TON of info there. They won't certify you, but you can go into your state's link and possibly find a local agency.

  12. Usually state agencies don't charge a thing.  Also there are a lot of banks now that give "adoption loans" which sounds awful, but they are an option that have helped a lot of people.

  13. You should check into Foster Care Adoption .. these programs don't cost a thing, except some time and then most kids will be adoptable after 18 months, if they are still in your care ... or you can adopt older children who are severed from their parents.  Check with you local CPS office or Dept of Economic Security (Food Stamp Place)

  14. If you go through foster care the state will pay for all of your certifications and you will get a child faster than a private agency.

also if it is special needs IE drug baby, special ed, sibling group, older child adoption, etc they will also pay you subsidy until the child is 18.

just because it is foster care does not mean they are disabled, i know this is a common misconception (i know some people don't feel they can handle disabled children). but these kids need parents too!!!!!

  15. go to your local health and  human services...it's free!

  16. Have you contacted your state adoption agency?  They handle adoptions of children that have been removed from their families.  There are usually no fees involved on the adoptive parents part.  The state even sometimes provides a monthly payment.  If you visit the following web site they provide you with tons of information.  http://www.adoptionservices.org

  17. my mom and dad adopted my brother and me with out an agency. or a lawyer and it was cheaper that way.

  18. Hi there : )

I am and adoptee and a birthmom. Both my adoption and my son's adoption were independent adoptions (when the families meet in ways other that through an agency) As a birthmom, I let my OB know that I was looking for a family and asked if he knew of any couples looking to adopt, my birthmum did the same and it worked for her. I did get some profiles from my OB but ended up finding my son's family through a neighbor/goodfriend.  So I guess my best suggestion would be to get the word out there that you are looking. Someways to do that that I have seen work are notify Dr.'s Offices that you are looking, let everyone you know, know that you are looking and ask them to pass the word on. One way I've seen that done is through e-mail and it worked very quickly.

These are some suggestions on how to find a birthmom indendently but Mom of Many is right. The costs of an Independent adoption adds up and often they end up being just as expensive as an agency adoption.

I hope that was helpful and I wish you the best of luck!

  19. Regardless even if you know someone you will have to get an adoption attorney to make it legal and it is still going to cost you. I understand that you want a child and that is wonderful but if you cant afford the adoption can you really afford to raise another child? You can consider foster adopt program.through your state Most likely the child wont be an infant but you take the child in and down the line you can potentially adopt him or her. When the child is a foster child the state supports the child financially.

  20. OK here's my suggestion...hang out by the university and free clinics with a sign that says:

"I'll buy your baby for 50 bucks."

  21. It’s not legal to do that, if you looked into adopting at all you would know that’s not how it works.  Also if you don’t have the money to adopt then you don’t have the money to have a child in your care.
