  1. Most of the larger home improvement stores have kiosks that will allow you to input what you want to build, then make all the specifications you want, including modifications, and they will print out a materials list for you automatically.  You get to see what the building actually looks like from a schematic and architectural perspective on the computer screen.  It is a touch screen function.  While these are a bit limited in their sophistication, they do provide the materials listings you may want.

In addition, a lot of larger home improvement stores and also contractor suppliers have specialized computer assisted drawing (CAD) equipment and a person to run them.  As long as they believe you may buy your materials from them, you can visit with this person and get your materials lists from him/her.  Along with CAD, you get a better picture, literally, of what it is you want to build.  At some places though, there is a small charge for the more complicated work.

Barring all that, I would go to the internet and see if on the back pages after you google mini barn and get past all the advertisements, you may find some resources that don't cost a thing.

Finally, don't know where you live or if you have a county extension agency close by.  However, they are always good resources for referrals and could even have simplified plans for what you want.
