    good luck!

  3. Don't do it....

    =)

  4. http://www.arkansashomeschool.org/index....

That has the basic legal requirements and info on conventions where you can see lots of curriculum and meet people in clubs and other organizations for extracurricular stuff.

    www.hslda.org

Helps people prevent/handle interference in their homeschools, and will step in legally to protect you if you are a member.

Depending on how ready you are for college work, and it may be sooner than you think, do a search on Brad Voeller and Accelerated Distance Education.  You can start to CLEP out of college courses at any time...like, you could be 11 or 12 years old, there is no age limit.  Usually, even without a high school diploma, colleges will accept people as "transfers" when they have accumulated a certain number of college credit hours.  Our local community college accepts homeschoolers into college classes if they pass basic tests showing proficiency in math to qualify for math courses and proficiency in English for English courses.

If you want a traditionally accredited college prep level high school experience from an online school, try http://www.newamericanschool.com/

If you want a more creative approach, the sky's the limit!  Feel free to contact for ideas regarding different subjects.

Good luck, and congratulations for thinking outside the box!

  5. Here's a site with information that can help you:

Once you understand your state's laws.  The next thing you need to do is choose a homeschool curriculum.  Since you are coming from a public school classroom, you may be interested in a text book or online curriculum.  Here's some info on both:

It will probably also be helpful to find a support group.  Here's some info for you:

    Good luck!
