I am wanting to go to q school for golf where do i start?

follow the link in the first response, pay the fees, win the prelim stages and then the 5-6 other stages.

Quit your job..... then head to the: driving range, the chipping green,  the putting green & the gym...... that should leave you 6-8 hours a day to sleep, eat & run errands.... Also, play in as many highly competitive amateur tourneys you can enter.  Then maybe you'll be ready for 2010.

First of all, best of luck! You didn't specify so please update your question to reflect which tour. My answer assumes you would like to attempt to qualify for the PGA Tour. If so ...

To begin, read the link below. It includes the application to the 2007 Q School and covers all of the rules and regs. You'll have to wait for the '08 application to become available before you can act.

You start at the practice range.  When you get to consistently breaking par then you can worry about filling out paperwork and applying to Q school.
