I am wanting to go to school to be a psychologist.. HELP!!?

i am a junior in college and pretty soon i will be graduating and wanting to continue school for psychology.. however, no one in my family has ever accomplished this so i have no clue where i am going.. i will live in between in nashville and huntsville area and i need to know good schools. i would like to either be a school counselor, clinical psychologist or some other kind of counselor so what do i even go to school for? ugh i am so confused.. also what are the prerequisits?

  1. You are going to have to go to graduate school, so get ready to take the GRE.  

    I would look at some of the schools around your area and see what there prerequistes are for getting into their Master's Degree Programs.

    Also I would check the state board of Psychology website where you want to practice and see what the requirements are to be licensed in that state.

    Some require a Ph.D, so you can also start working towards that goal as well.
