I am wanting to open up my own website to make tribute videos for people???

Question

Hey, I've been into film and editing for years and I've made lots of tribute/dedication videos for friends and family. But now I would like to branch out and make a public website where people would order them. Just a small little business. But I was wondering if that is really a market anymore?

Everybody seems so tech-savvy? My friends and family say I'm crazy and should try, but I"m a little worried on if I would get any traffic. And also how would I get my name out there so people would find my site?

No discourages. Do it and traffic part is next. So 2 parts, one is making website and the other one is bringing traffic to it or say SEO it.

If you are not a techie, outsource the job to a programmers on freelance sites. Just join a freelance site and post a project on webdesigning with all details. There will be responses from programmers specifically webdesigners. Talk to the selective programmers over PM and come to better pricing and ask him to make the site. Later you can hire a programmer for SEO job also.

You have 2 advantages on this...

a) Cost effective as competition is global

b) You will only pay after job is done to your satisfaction.

Wow, very great idea.

In my many years' SEO experience，you can get traffic for your website via two ways, they are:

1. Promote your website online. e.g.: exchang links with other websites, post information about your website onto forum, blog, Community, submit article about your website to some websits which accept articles, upload videos which includ your website information to YouTube....

2. Promote your website offline. e.g.: tell your family and friends about your website, then they will tell their family and friends, and then their family and friends will tell their family and firends, and so forth.

Well, to add your videos to your website, you may need a program. It's a tool for adding videos to website, I use it since two months ago, for me, it's very good and easy to use.
