I am wishing to get more involved with digital photography. I currently have a point and shoot but am wishing to invest in a digital slr. Are there any recommended brands at a reasonable cost?

Since this is your first DSLR then I suggest you look into either getting the Canon Rebel XT or Nikon D40... both are at reasonable costs.
