I am 17, very good with children and have years of experience (especially with young children).

I recently moved here from Europe, and am looking into this opportunity.

  1. I'm sorry, but those other babysitters are charging wayyyyyyyy too much. i usually take whatever the parents pay me and they usually are fairly generous. but $10 an hour!!! I probably make a good 4-5 dollars an hour. theres no need to clean out the parents.

  2. Depending on the kids, location etc.. BUt I'd say between $10-$15

At least that's the range I pay my babysitters!

  3. i have tons of babysitting experience.

&if you charge less, you'll get more hours and more references for other familys..

i charge nine dollars an hour plus a dollar an hour for each additional child.

&then usually a dollar an hour for each additional child in diapers.

its really up to you and the family though.

  4. Well, we have 3 & 4 year old boys.  Usually $30 for an evening or a few hours.  $40 for 6-8 hour day.  Much more than that will make it not worth going to work.

The going rate in our city for one small child in daycare $30 a day, per child.  So I tried to average that in.

  5. I charge $10/hour per child age 5 and under, and then $5/hour per child age 6 and up.

    So, I babysit a four-year-old at $10 an hour, and then I also babysit another family's chlidren... a 10-year-old and a 9-month-old for $15 an hour.
